The Graduates' Home
“Starting Off”: Learning To Become a Productive Citizen
- Dysfunctional families.
- Single Parent, multiple child homes.
- Unsupportive environments.
- Destructive relationships.
- Underachievement
How many more reasons can you find for a young lady to be required by court or social worker to leave her home for a residential high school?
At Ulpanat Dolev, a religious girls' boarding high school for 90 such girls, we believe that everyone is born with the potential to succeed in life.
Situated in the Modi’in region of the Benyamin Regional Council, the Ulpana in Dolev has graduated many young ladies who needed a second chance away from a destructive home environment.
But training them in vocations and torah apparently does not suffice. Some still need the warmth of a home, the comraderie of friends, the safety of the known while they enter a new life as a sherut leumi volunteer, hairdresser, cook or even a college student.
These young ladies need the Ulpana’s Graduate facility.
The goal of the Graduates' Home that will be located near the campus of Ulpanat Dolev is to be a “starting off” home to practice life skills they need to successfully assimilate into Israeli society and become productive citizens. This year 13 graduates who are not emotionally ready to enter society on their own and have no supportive family to guide them will find comfort and support in this the temporary unit until the new unit is buillt.
Each year graduates must “fend for themselves.” Some succeed; others flounder.
Those who are not yet equipped emotionally to manage alone in society, need a proper residence for them to live in and learn and practice life skills. Eventually they will develop the self-confidence and skills to help them build their own homes and families. .
The Graduates’ Apartment Building

Ulpanat Dolev plans to build a three-story building of 6 apartments to house 36 students and two staff apartments on the ground floor. The following are donation opportunities for the building:
- Naming a room in the Graduates’ Apartment - $18,000.
- Naming an entire apartment - 1050 square feet consisting of three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, porch and laundry room - $90,000.
- Naming an entire building of 6 apartments- $500,000
THOSE WHO NEED THIS GRADUATES' HOME PROGRAM HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE AND NO ONE TO TURN TO- NO FAMILY TO HELP THEM-ONLY THE DEDICATED AND PROFESSIONAL ULPANAT DOLEV STAFF.
We ask for your support to help us promise a better future for our Ulpanat Dolev graduates and to fulfill the saying of our wise sages: "To save one Jewish soul is to save an entire world."
